definitely id numbers

also, even better, nosey neighbours the arrogant must have angered at some point

the rich who became so by un-work can be arrogant and had they been so ...

payback time

the china bail-in / bail-out can be a mini-cultural revolution, tee-ing up neighbourhood committees and such, allowing folks to triangulate, get to know better, and expose corruption

the stick: one may be exposed and dealt w/

the carrot: one may be exposed, and if deemed a fundamentally good comrade, redeemable, you may only have to donate you acquiescense to whatever you are asked to donate

trust many 'one' would choose wisely and donate generously, and then get back to diligent work

Will be curious to see how that works in a country with so many Chens.

As I read your post I imagined how a shiny new 10,000 bed Shanghai hospital with 1000 drowsy Chens

would give new meaning to the nurse-directed phrase "Keep your Chen up!"

:)
