Boy that is a lot of words to say nothing. My experiences are not outdated, nor is my education. It is all the same cause and effect. What I am saying is that it is all about the culture and educational levels of the poor. These kids grow up in poverty, little education and gang violence. It is the culture they learn. Just like the culture you learned that makes you call yourself BOW. Change the culture, and educate everyone, and you change the kids. And it has nothing to do with deadbeat dads except as it makes the women poor. Women raise kids better than men anyway IMO. Better a single mom than single dad, so let's give her some money and education. << think the only thing we can say here is the source of our information differs considerably on the causes of gang information.. You are basing your insights on gang info on your experiences growing up and your Admin rehab program experience in the State of Alaska 4 or 5 decades ago. What does that experience have to do with gang formation in southern California in 2008--whrein the police say the gangs came out of the "projects"? It doesn't mean that all "projects" lead to gang formation. Just that LA projects did. I can't universalize the proposition that kids raised in welfare projects are subject becoming gang members. It is just one piece of evidence as to that. As is your experience elsewhere in a different time period in different places..>
