That's my point exactly, Steve !!

If the stock has dropped this much on nothing but GOOD NEWS, imagine what would happen if the company actually does issue a warning of a slowdown or any hint of bad news !!!!

It will be too late for investors to get out by then !!!!

I think that's why you see the institutions running for the exit now before they are crushed in the stampede for the exits later !!

Steve and Mark McCoy, I didn't think I saw any remarks by CPQ indicating any slowdown or possible shortfall. I try to catch every bit of news even if it comes from a source somewhere in the Andromeda galaxy. I hope others question when they read something which seems so completely spurious as the article published in an earlier post which blythely stated that compaq had issued cautionary remarks at the beginning of the month. I still believe they'll have a good christmas season and look forward to a better stock price in the coming months though perhaps not in the near-term.
