Larry I've seen both forms of your post about this pile-up today. A few years back my family and I were on our way home from Disneyland coming up I-5 and ran into a dust storm. You may remember hearing about it because it had similar results. I thank the lord that our three children were asleep and have no recollection of the details of it today. My wife and I saw things happen which we don't care to remember. We survived the incident because we had the good sense to dodge the assholes behind us! Not what was in front....because we'd already slowed when we saw it ahead. Avoiding the problem ahead of us was simple, however when we slowed down those behind us were still in a daze on cruise control or whatever. As you have mentioned already this area is a known problem area. I ask you to encourage your people to take the responsibility to pay attention to that fact. But for God's sake don't fool them into thinking something as inept as the government will make them safe in those conditions.
