He did not lie. He failed to perform in that he should have been successful in restoring that right which was already taken away from us after 9/11. Our darn system is so very stacked, that even a US President like Obama, who wants to do good is prevented from doing so by the "communist_Hitler" like forces in DC. The bureaucracy in particular.

I expected him to pack those people off by firing them like Reagan did to the "control tower" operators.

How long do you think the NSA has been in existence? Its origins trace back to 1917. Americans gave up their right to privacy long ago. Bush and the internet have only made it worse. And sure Americans complain but they are so paranoid about terrorism that they keep the grumbling to a minimum. Obama et al know the reality.

>> There were no WMDs in Iraq and everybody knew that.

Totally inconsistent with the facts.

Every significant intelligence operation in the West believed they had WMDs. Every important Democrat in the Senate and House believed it, based on the same intelligence Bush had access to. Bill Clinton believed it, as did Hillary. As did our current Secty. of State.

They all believed it.

call it what you will. make excuses for him if you like. he said he would do something and he did not do it. i never saw any effort on his part. i did not see him suffer the slings and arrows for our sake. he just acted like he never said it.

There were no WMDs in Iraq and everybody knew that.
If everybody knew that, why did EVERYBODY vote to go into Iraq ??
By everybody, I mean the Republicans, the Democrats, and most first-world countries.

1 - the intelligence from ours and several others around the world said there were WMDs
2 - we have since found large stashes of WMDs in neighboring countries .. which we had always suspected Iraq of hiding them in

I'm not a huge fan of any Bush, but he did not lie . . he went with world opinion.
