FUD and anti-FUD: David Lawrence kindly said, "After spouting my counter to the ISP's BS, I noticed that Dick had pretty much responded in the same vein, so the the anti-FUD team is working." And I think we answered within minutes of each other. Doesn't it bug you sometimes that the only people who seem to be able to get through the fog of FUD drifting out of certain modem makers are in this SI discussion thread? I don't get it.... Although, when David M. Anderson says in #10538 of this thread, "Where are people getting this? I'm seeing it all over SI," my first thought is to wonder if some of it doesn't come from the ASND thread, which I have given up on reading. It was the Lucent press release (about that Florida standards meeting) which particularly said that the proposed agreement was balanced between the two standards; you'd think that K56'ers would believe Lucent?
