Talked to IOM IR today(Tyler Thatcher 801-778-4362, for those that like to check sources) about the millionth Zip announcements and whether or not they would continue.

Tyler said at this point, they did not know if they were going to continue them, it is being discussed.

So the takeaway here is don't be disappointed if you don't 11,12,13 ect announced.

Also, don't look for management to make any announcements regarding the current quarter before they announce earnings. Senior management has stated before that they won't discuss earnings estimates or how a current quarter is going.

Tyler said the stock spit will continue on December 22, no matter what the price of the stock is.

Warning.

The following is MHO and did not come from IOM.

I think IOM has given us some clues to how the current quarter is going, esp in Asia.

#1 About a week ago, an IOM manager(from Malaysia I believe) stated that the ringgots fall would help IOM temporarily(6-12 months). This should help lower manufacturing costs.

#2 Dec 1, IOM appoints Laser Computer as a distributor of IOM products in China, citing a large increase in demand over the past year.(not terribly surprising)

#3 Shig2 on TMF posted that Zip has taken over the #1 spot in removeable drive sales in Japan(replacing MO or PD drives I forget) Check TMF for his source.

#4 IOM has very little exposure to Asia(8-10% of sales) and sales seem to be increasing in Asia, not decreasing as many companies face. My opinion is that Asia can really help IOM with little downside risk. Even if IOM sales are slashed by 50% in Asia it would be a minor rounding error. I personally think sales in this region are increasing.

Looks like it is shaping up to be a great quarter for IOM. Too bad the rest of the tech sector is dragging IOM down:(

Best of luck

Stacy

PS: Added a little bit more at 26 5/8 today

How about having the stock price head north tomorrow-8 out 9 down days is getting old.
