NYT nailed it, imo, in this piece…..PS: I apologize---I addressed Ted in a reply to one of your posts….. In the fyi----I'm hardly taking this seriously---for lack of a better term. Sure I'm concerned but nowhere near as with other foreign crises of recent times. As this article lays out clearly---these ain't the good ole days of the Cold War. Putin is a smart, murderous, narcissistic punk, as far as I'm concerned. Trying to get attention and "respect" by whatever means possible. Has a thing about one-upping Obama. He'll fall into line----unless he truly, as Merkel implied, has lost his mind...IMO….. My family came from Albania(got political asylum here as my dad was on their hit list). I feel sorry for the ordinary Russian citizen but re: that oligarchy? I'll let Karma do its job.
