WR, B4 1/20/09, parties compromised to govern this country Pure BS. When Pelosi and Reid took over in January 2007, they had one goal, which is to put a Democrat in office by 2009. They opposed Bush in every way imaginable because they wanted to make him a lame duck. Mission accomplished. Let's not forget about the judicial appointments that Democrats, in their minority positions in Congress, fought hard to oppose ... just because. It took a "Gang of 14," led by McCain, to break this political logjam and avoid the GOP having to use the "nuclear option." Guess what? Harry Reid, ever the hypocrite, just employed that very "nuclear option" in 2013, the same one that was threatened to be used back when the Democrats were being obstructionist. I've heard this bellyaching over "lack of compromise" in Congress for over two decades now. For you to pretend that things were all rosy until Obama came into power is silly. Tenchusatsu
