Putin's pretty wife wife is no bimbo. She is about 30 years old and Putin is ~60. She and her husband have common interests, notably in sports. Putin had 2 daughters by his first wife, both happily married, according to reports. The real reason for Putin's divorce from his first wife after ~30 years of marriage, as I understand it from RUSSIA TODAY is that she shunned public life and would not go out with him to meet people and heads of states. Putin felt kind of awkward appearing in public unaccompanied by his wife when his counterparts had their wives with them. Putin and Lyudmilla (the 1st. wife) told the media that their parting was consensual and had the approval of their daughters.
