thanks for the reference...i did not know that thom hartman had written such a book...he's really stepping out there! i learned quite a bit more about what his predicted crash in this video:

i can see a lot of truth in his contention that this is a planned takedown...but need to know more about what kind of "crash" he sees coming. and what happens to real estate if his predicted crash occurs? if the value of the usd is cut, let's say by 30%, does the value of real estate go in usd terms up to compensate for the loss in value of the currency? or does real estate lose value because we are in a depression and no one can afford to buy it? i guess that scenario would be deflation. would a 30% loss in value of the currency result in deflation or inflation?

sometimes thinking about this stuff just ties my brain in a knot! i think i'll go dig in the dirt awhile...
