I'm not inclined to take any movie's premise, which will definitely include scene's for their "dramatic" effect, as the basis for historical and or relevant research. All I am saying is that the academic community has had a "inconclusive" debate about whether slavery would have eventually died out because of the economics associated with it. It's not an "unreasonable" assertion to hold.

I am not saying, or have ever said that the institution of slavery was a good thing--for any of the people involved in it.
