I don't think you understand the situation. A person convicted of a marijuana felony is essentially unemployable, at least by any substantial company. You might find a job digging ditches or flipping burgers, but unlike with ordinary people, these jobs offer no opportunity to move to better jobs with higher pay or benefits because those jobs will instantly discount any applicant who has a felony record. It is a big problem, particularly amongst young blacks who have often grown up selling pot in their local neighborhoods.

It is just wrong and insures a steady crop of lifetime criminals in our cities.
