I have long favored such things as eliminating the housing mortgage deduction on higher priced homes and would love to see a tax on such things as stock purchases and I'm fine with raising the income tax. BUT, none of that has to do with 'redistributing' the income to the poor. I want to bring wages closer between the rich and the poor John, but I don't want to reward people - like the ones who dumped trash above my creek - for being lazy and being slobs and doing Meth and being a general drag on the community. ........You might not have people such as this in your community, I do. And there are a lot of them and more and more all the time.
