I can see that the idea of poor folks buying a cake really upsets you, but we actually have much larger things to worry about. Compared to the wealth transfer to the elderly, and the military industrial complex- poor folks subsidies are nothing in comparison. The money the poor get is spent immediately, and goes back in to the economy- the same cannot be said of the subsidies to the wealthy. We need to return to the tax rates present when Reagan was president. I mean it's been fab watching the rich get a hell of a lot richer while everyone else gets poorer- but I think it's time to try something else now. You may not agree, but I don't care.
