Fast CD's are great. I was basically reffering to the so called
24X performance. Most 24X drives actually vary speed between 12x and 24x depending on how far from the center the current data is. Its misleading marketing slime not bad technology. Its a great solution
as long as you are happy with the performance. (BTW: I need a new CD
cause mine now only reads digital audio at 1X, make copying CD's too slow, oh well another part for the antique computer museum).

On adding another drive. Assuming a pentium computer you have
4 EIDE ports on the MB. If you have 2 HD's and a CD you probably
have 1 left unless you have a IDE Zip drive or some other IDE
device. Bigger question might be do you have physical space
left in the case. My Dell at home is completely full and I am seriosuly considering moving all the guts to a bigger case....
