Inode,
Ten, the above is not a factual statement. It is not even close to being true.
I see the arguments made in support of "safe, responsible cannibis" usage. They resemble the arguments used by Big Tobacco against the notion that nicotine isn't addictive and isn't harmful to the body or to the community.

But even that isn't as obvious as the actions of people who smoke pot. If the effects aren't that potent, then you wouldn't have people being described as "stoners" for their incredibly stupid actions. And from what I've seen, stoners act just as bad, if not worse, than those who are drunk on alcohol. We only hear about the latter because alcohol is legal and therefore more widespread.
The problem with a lot of you guys is that you treat drug addiction like a legal or a moral issue, when in fact is a medical issue.
WTF? Of course it's a medical issue. It's also a legal issue, a moral issue, and yes, even a PR issue.

But your accusation that Big Pharma isn't doing anything about the narcotics issue makes about as much sense as the gun control advocates claiming that the gun manufacturers aren't doing enough to prevent school shootings or street violence.

After all, these gun manufacturers don't care, as long as they sell more guns and ammo, AMIRITE?
