Not in moderation, but like any substance (including sugary drinks) if you over-do it you can cause long-term problems.
Yeah ... when you compare pot to soda, you kind of hurt your own credibility here.

"I get high with a little help from my friends" wasn't referring to Coca-Cola, either.
You are in denial about the extent of the damage caused by criminalization.
If you want to argue about the punishment fitting the crime, I'm all ears. Personally I agree that users should get treatment rather than felony convictions.

But that can be resolved without having to legalize this shit.

Like I said before, legalization only makes sense from a libertarian perspective. If people choose to mess up their own bodies and minds, the government should not interfere nor should the government be responsible for their consequences.

But it's obvious we don't live in a libertarian society, and since I'm not a true libertarian ideologue, I'd need more convincing before I tell my kids that "pot is bad because it's illegal, not because it's bad for you." Which is apparently what you are telling your kids.
