Charles, I'll try and post an updated watch list this weekend. But market direction is very important. 3 of 4 stocks move with the market. So buying requires technical analysis IMO. I have an ever-green watch list of stocks that pass certain technical and fundamental screens. Then to take a new position, I watch the technical behavior of the stocks on my list and I always try and guage market direction before making a move. In adding to existing positions, I may not always care about all of the factors required to take a new position. A lot depends on if I am "momentum" investing or "value" investing which are very different styles, both of which I use.
