The argument I've read is that the demographics are shifting so that the district is more in play for Dems than in the past. That led Sink deciding to make a run for it. Right now, I'm going with the narrative that says the Dems failed to get the turnout they needed.

Obama won the district both times. It was winnable, despite the advantage in Republican registration. It was about turnout, but midterm elections are always about GOTV.
