Why do you think that he 'likes' Brennan?
I don't think that.
He tolerates Brennan for reasons not in our purvue.
While I love your mind, it is operating from outside the reality of Obama's 'real world' reasons for what he decides. You and I don't know the actual logic of many of Obama's decisions.
We actually shouldn't in my opinion. He has so very much of my trust that I willingly accept his actions, knowing that some are not as palatable as others to my frontal cortex.

I trust Barack Obama to make the best decisions that he can to advance America.
Some taste good to us; some suck to us with our limited knowledge of the ACTUAL real-life reasons that the most powerful political leader on our planet keeps Brennan on..

(Something like that)

What I do not like about Obama is that he has not restored our personal liberties that Bush took away in the name of the phony "Patriot Act". Why do you think these folks in the NSA and CIA are so emboldened that they do not care what they are doing. If my tax dollars as well as yours and others are being used to fight terrorism and if we are winning in that fight, then I wonder why that is not translating into the restoration of our freedoms.

We know that the Koch Brother types want to maintain illegal immigration and do not want to legalize them because doing so will cut off their supply of cheap labor to mow their lawns, clean their mansions etc. etc. And I wonder why he is trying to cut off that supply of cheap labor by deporting those illegals in such large numbers instead of trying to legalize them beginning 2009 and not have waited this long to pick up that fight. Besides, is this increased number of deportations another instance of excess of the law folks such as the NSA, FBI etc. is what I wonder.

He needs to call the shots and not them.
