I also use tricks like that on larger numbers but that math example was just 3 digit numbers. "I can do rough calculations of rather complex matters incl. sums and substracts, multiplies and divisions and then arriving within +/-2% of the correct result rapidly without use of paper or anything else outside my brains." i can do the same, drives my wife nuts and my son who's getting his masters in engineering, really pisses him off when I can give him the answer before he enters the numbers in a calculaotor
