Perhaps, this is one of the reasons why AMAT builds a 6 month + backlog for each of its product lines. It helps smooth out the bumps.

Now if this isn't a bump but rather the grand canyon, ... ;-)

Considering that AMAT made $1.280b last quarter, I don't think it hurts them very much if this is true. Isn't UBS's Fitzgerald the same person that ran that rumor of Samsung cancelling orders to LSI Logic 2 weeks ago? Then LSI came out and said that there was no cancellation in orders.
