Actually, probably an understatement. The ancient Greeks only had to invent the inductive method. Look how fast we evolved from 1800 to 2,000.

The ancient Greeks had a lot of that stuff (math, physics and logic) already figured out, but 99% of it got destroyed by invaders who burned the libraries.

Had they been able to continue by my figuring they would have arrived where we are by at least 500 AD, probably sooner. So 1,500 years.
