Brother Nathanael? The problem with Russians is they are mostly bandits and it doesn't matter what label they pick for themselves. They can call themselves Czars, Communists or Capitalists but the same Russian traits keep popping up. It is tough guy culture and whatever Chimpanzee can yell, screech and pound his chest the hardest wins. Putin is only interested in creating diversions so he can grab more cash for himself... If the US and the world really want to stop him they need to seize his offshore accounts which are now in the billions. There is an old American saying "I don't like to be pushed around" in Russia and Ukraine people have been bred to be pushed around for centuries and if they don't like it they are shipped off to Siberia to protest there. The worse criminals were the monks of the Russian Orthodox church who were specially chosen to keep an eye on the faithful for their communist bosses.
