<<<<< So you can't blame the last 6 years of the Fed on Bush >>>>

Sure you can! AND, add Greenspan. Greenspan thought he had discovered a new way - endless easy money and that there would be no downside. He, with Bush's blessing, introduced us to the "crack" and we became addicted. Has Obama continued the policy, yes. But that is because he fears (or rather the experts fear) that the American economy could not successfully get through withdrawals of ridiculously low interest rates, and I suspect he is right. Demand remains mediocre (for a lot of reasons).

I think we are screwed, but to blame it on Obama is just silly. That's not an endorsement of Obama who I have very mixed feelings about. However, Obama did not adopt the ridiculous stimulus ideas of the likes of Krugman, instead, he did just enough to give the economy some breathing time. That has occurred and the economy has readjusted and now it is time to get to work on addressing the deficit - or rather the debt. ..........That is going to need both sides to work together as you have so eloquently stated. However, if we are going to ever move forward we have to understand with some clarity the basket case Obama inherited instead of thinking it is all one man's fault.
