What are you saying? ORCL, Informix and Sybase are doing lousy and the NT/SQL business of MSFT is eating their lunch.

It very hard to say whether or not MSFT is eating anyones lunch on database sales in NT. MSFT doesn't breakout revenue on there SEC reports by product. MSFT has bundled SQL Server with NT in some cases. So they claim a sale of SQL Server. Just because the product shipped with NT doesn't mean its being used. I recieved Internet Explorer with my new PC, but use Netscape Navigator. Therefore its hard to know what the real numbers are.

I have seen reports from IDC in the past that say Oracle has sold more NT databases than MSFT. This report was back in the spring though.
