[ TA & Trendlines ] Hi Rainier.

Good luck on your paper. Sure, what the heck. Roll out the Kegs. We can "Toast" Korea monetary policy.
Well, maybe they beat us to it and it's already Toast.

==>which is more effective or correct, drawing them and having them rest on top of the whole day's activity(and not having them cut through the intraday movements), or choosing to have them rest on just for the closing points of the day(say, for example, on a mutual fund's chart, where all the closing points are connected and have no intraday activity)?<==

I've read that BOTH are correct. It's a personal preference.

I don't have a hard and fast rule on this, but I go by the Hi's or Lows a good bit. The reason is ... there are still alot of people using the Bar Chart and it's easier to draw on the Hi's and Low's when using a Bar Chart.

But ... If the Closing points are Prominent on the Candle Chart I'll use those. I really prefer the Close or the Open because these will in many occasions show where Support and Resistance are more so than the His and Lows.

So, I do use both. The method I use on a particular chart is influenced by which pattern stands out most. I'll opt for the Close or Open if I can.

Get an "A" on your paper!

Ray
