<<I still have a list of potential stocks to short.>> It pays to deal with a large broker or someone with a large co. behind them. 7/8 years ago I shorted a stock with what was then a small Nat.discount broker. 3 days later they called and said they wanted the stock back. That's where I found out the source of borrowed stock for short sales.
