From the second-hand media reports I've seen, it sounds an awfully lot like the judge granted a preliminary injunction.

If so, it's not the definitive ruling. All it does is keep Microsoft from doing anything pending resolution of the case. Once the Judge decides the case (sometime after May 31), he'll either grant a permanent injunction or dissolve the preliminary injunction.

He's also appointed a special master to resolve factual disputes and make findings of law. That means there will probably be a fairly long process.

All of this is subject to seeing the actual opinion, but, based on what I've seen, my views of the merits and probable outcome remain unchanged.

And, no, don't expect the stock to drop 30 percent tomorrow because of this (because of Asia, maybe, but not this).
