One little biology professor cause quite a stirr these last few decades with you fundys, but Dawkin's isn't the first to make these observations of the barbarism in the Jewish & Christian OT. If anything, Mohammed had the vantage of hindsite to massage the Koran into a less blood~ thirst, vengeful god of such tribal, primitive casting.

And if anything this casts a light on the nature of evolutionary memes being passed down, borrowed, assimilated culturally, this would also go for the very potent presence of the Greek Platonists pov as well as the monastic Christians, Jewish motifs from which Mohammed borrowed. All very much pointing to an evolutionary process ongoing, the term "meme" was made by Dawkins too. (And we know the Jews borrowed the great bulk of their stories, wisdom, theology, cosmology & ethical axioms too)

As we see, Carl Sagan has his inheritor/progeny to with deGrasse Tyson, better get used to it, for after you pass on, that dynamic ongoing engagement with truth continues, after Dawkins, after Sagan, after Einstein, after Christian de Duve and so many others.
