Yes, a big breakout for gold and gdx last week. It seems to target
1420 as the next stop for gold, probably higher. Hard to fathom Russian
games in its own back yard have an effect on it. One big thing was India
possibly reducing import duty on gold soon, before end of March,
so far not materialized. We'll see if the shenenigans act
to dump gold using easing tensions in Ukraine. I am not sure
why Ukraine mattered in the first place. In the end, Russia is
on target to annex Crimea, and the EU did exactly nothing about it.
If there is one politician who won it was Putin.
