I just think that by injecting that money into the system they covered the face amount of enough of the pending derivatives that were threatening to bring the entire system down. My belief at the time was that we should just let nature take its course. But in retrospect TARP is what kept us from having a real depression.

The jobs problems we see today are, in significant part, a product of the Obama administration policy. The Bush recession would have been over a couple years ago -- due to TARP -- had Obama not wrecked it with bad policy like the stimulus, obamacare, and other idiotic government tinkering.

I think there is a lot of difference between what TARP did and what Obama did.

You do understand the Dave still believes Bush was a GREAT president? Do you?

That he will reflexively defend anything he sees as an attack on Bush?
