We can agree that there are closed minded nuts at both extremes. The thing that separates us is that you are far closer to the leftist nuts than I am to the rightist nuts. You may be closer to the authoritarian nuts than I am to the libertarian nuts, but I don't have an opinion on that. My politics are more concerned with libertarian versus authoritarian than liberal versus conservative. As a person who believes in individual responsibility I am offended by people like Hitler, Obama, Assad, Kerry, Hillary, McCain and Stalin. I am more comfortable with people like Ghandi, Ted Cruz, and Milton Friedman. As I said before comparing liberals to liberals is a fallacy. You can criticize Romney and McCain all day long without ever venturing beyond the liberal side of the spectrum. Republicans are no longer a party of conservatism. The power brokers shun their conservative and libertarian members. Harmony and vibrant economy do not have causality running either way. Get government out of the way of the economy and things will go much better. Adam Smith's invisible hand still rules. People doing what they perceive to be in their best interest is the best way to make the people in the lowest rungs of society better off. Giving them free stuff keeps them from reaching their potential. It is evil. There isn't a scientist worth his or her salt in the democrat party. I doubt if there is a scientist worth their salt in government: Those that can, do. Those that can't, teach. Those that can't teach work for the government. What leftist nuts like you don't understand is that abusing the environment is not an ideal of capitalists. They have to live in the same environment as everybody else. They act as stewards without abusive government oversight. Leftists want to tell farmers not to over fertilize. Farmers can't afford to over fertilize. Government oversight of fertilization practices is a waste of resources. The same is true of much more. In every society there are some pariahs who act outside of social norms. In capitalism these people give others a bad name. In government these people work for Obama.
