Indications are that Palin might be an excellent choice. She seems to have a handle on the proper role of a chief magistrate (a la Coolidge), has character and honesty, and demonstrated ability in executive performance. I accept the idea she resigned due to the possibility of financial ruin from defending against the despicable jackals that attacked her. It's an unfortunate fact that some huge plurality is infected with the silly idea that a proper president can perform magical shit, which claims Palin's knowledge and ethics preclude.
