I think this upcoming split will do more to hurt Iomega than to help it.

The basic problem is that PC sales are going to throttle back quite a bit next year (both domestically and most certainly overseas) and Jaz drives are just not selling that well. My guess is that next report will be flat to down from the previous quarter due to pricing pressures and slowing demand.

In the intermediate term, I don't see much upside potential and a lot of downside risk. Long term is anyone's guess.

Now if Iomega could only get an analyst to declare them a "global media company" then...
