Great post! I was wondering alot of the same things about the Greco study. Kind of funny to think about isn't it.

I listened to the CC and was impressed. It sounded like good sound business decisions and sincere explanations. They just simply have been going pedal to the metal since January. Its good business to do that, and as good business people, they kept hoping that things would all fall into place without a hitch. They were trying for a transparent transition to the new plant and having time then for the needed maintenance. It never made sense to spend money to increase demand until the new plant was producing. It looks like the timing is going to give us 2nd quarter revenue increases and that corresponds with the ad campaign, US FDA approval, while at the same time being able to meet UK and additional foreign demand.

One thing that wasn't mentioned in to CC was the revenue from milestone payments. Can I assume that will be a plus after the 25% revenue decrease do to production.

Also, I listened to the ZONA CC last month. I think Vivus management came across more sincere. Actually, I can't understand why ZONA stock has held as well as it has until today.

I know all us who are long VVUS have had to deal with some extraordinay circumstances, but I for one really appreciate what management has accomplished this year. I'm not going to try to second guess them. And thanks to Dr. Bond for all his efforts. I'm sure he was instrumental in bring about the CC.

Keep up the great posts and lets make money on this one.

I know your post of "questions to Dr. Greco" was halfway tongue-in-cheek, but you came remarkably close to the very questions that I sent. I will post any reply.

To Sailor: Regarding production prior to approval. Yes, the plant must produce product in order to show that it meets the same standards as the original product in order to be approved. This is one reason they moved the equipment so that they would have a jump start on approval using a line that was already known to meet the standards. So they can stockpile product produced and tested in the test runs and ship it once the line is approved. Remember they only count revenues when they ship product so there may be a surge of revenue on approvals.
