Ouch. MacWarehouse appears to be getting out of the business. Too bad -- I liked them.

The article says they will no longer be selling Macs overseas, but they will continue here in the US.

The thing to keep in mind with respect to these mail-order suppliers is that the tax laws are about to change requiring them to charge tax on sales accross state lines. This 8-10% discount used to be their advantage in many cases. Consolidating or closing down some of these discount houses should transfer business to the direct marketers such as Apple itself, since they charged tax on direct sales anyway.

Interesting bit of news because I have a flight simulator call Flight Unlimited by LookingGlass. They were suppose to come out with #II for Mac but I was told that they are not because their wholesaler tells them the retail stores are not ordering Mac software.
