"Duke, LU has terminated the OEM agreement w/ BAY. LU bought Livingston for market share and low-end RAS. But ASND's price has become too attractive to..."

Well put, Maverick. It's always a pleasure to read you presentations. As far as I can recall, you always give useful facts and figures as oppose to mere speculations.

Maverick, did you check SHVA news, it says they won a contract to provide their Access Switch to HINET, large Taiwanese ISP ( third largest ISP in the world). If you check NOV 24, 1997 ASND news release they announced that they won the contract with HINET. In fact I recall several people discussed on SI about how ASND underbid to win that contract.
What do you make of it. Who do you believe???
Anybody with comments.

BR

<<Infonet uses a feature of ASND's MAX RA switches in the Infonet nw to signal ASDN's ISDN routers at remote sites to dial in. The destination can be a LAN connected to Infonet by a dedicated or dial-up connection>>

Maverick, I've noticed ASND made some tailoring for UUNET to facilitate their new fax service, plus tailoring of TNT's for
Europe customers, plus the 112K stuff needing ASND equipment,
and now this.

How much of a competitive advantage do these special features give ASND, and are there others equally important strategically?
Are CSCO, COMS and BAY being equally innovative?
