Warming made the drought worse. How come that only happened on the west coast? The rest of the country was in a deep freeze. Tell me genius, how does that happen? Too many illegal aliens? Too many liberal idiots out west?

"This ridge is sort of a mountain in the atmosphere. In most years, it comes and goes. This year it came and didn't go." The current high-pressure ridge is even stronger and more persistent than a similar ridge that parked over the Pacific Ocean during the 1976-77 drought, one of the driest in the 20th century.

How can you be sure the drought didn't make the warming worst? What should one expect when one lives on a desert or on the edge of a desert? What about the high pressure ridge off the west coast that wont move? "ridiculously resilient ridge."
