Even stranger, in Las Vegas, Florida opened as a 4/1 favorite to win it all. Michigan State was the second pick at 9/2. This was before some of those other "predictions" were made. Perhaps some choices were made on the basis of Las Vegas odds? Or, Las Vegas odds reflect what those "professionals" would be selecting in their brackets (before the selections were made public, I might add)? Who knows?

Anyway, Michigan State is not a bad pick. If I recall correctly, they had a top 5 ranking earlier this year in all of the major polls, before injuries and inexplicable losses knocked them down in the polls. They seem to be back in form now, and like Louisville, they may be peaking at the right time.

My problem is in rating the Big 10 teams against the ACC teams. Which conference is better? My take is that the ACC was this year's premiere conference. But I may be wrong. The lesser distinguished records in the Big 10 may be due to the fact that it's (Big 10) the better conference, more balanced and "tougher".

EK!!!
