Looks like 911 didn't teach them a damn thing.

How and why is it possible to turn off a transponder during flight?

Hopefully the objects they are focusing on off Perth Australia are from the mysterious Jetliner. I do believe it would be a no brainer to shoot down the plane if it resurfaced, with or without live passengers.
