There are shortages of people yes, but developing countries have filled a lot of the gaps. Some jobs on a land drilling rig are not too technical.

Offshore, working on a 6th generation deepwater drilling rig, in positions like subsea engineers there was a big effort to develop and train new or even experienced people in these jobs.

I don't see rigs stopping for lack of skilled people

E&P personnel. I don;t follow that market.
