I spent 33 years in law enforcement. There are plenty of people in every walk of life that get perks others don't get for one reason or another. That doesn't excuse stealing meals, however, the scenario they gave you isn't very creative and why would they need the dispatcher to call unless they had their radios playing loudly at the restaurant? That sounds like clowns either feeding you BS or too stupid to just pretend a dispatcher called them. I worked Internal Affairs and Special Investigations for most of my career. Trust me, there are bigger fish to fry.


For a "free" apartment there must have been a serious quid pro quo.

What kind of engineer? Maintenance engineer? There's nothing wrong with being a janitor, but calling yourself a maintenance engineer is silly.
