The issue of land-grab of Crimea from Ukraine has more to do with the natural resources beneath the Black Sea floor than his great concern of the "Russian"ethnic population. After the land grab and the development of the NG deposits it is clear that Sevastopol would have a major importance as a military based to defend those NG rigs in the Black sea that where actually stolen from Ukraine and Romania.

As long as the Northern Shores of the Black Sea close to the NG deposits are not in Russian hands the Russian army will continue to "defend" the interest of the "Russian ethnic" population.

IMHO it only proves the idiotic approach of the politicians and their heads of states within the EU in general and relate to their energy needs in particular. In previous post I indicated that substantial amounts of NG and crude oil are assumed to be by preliminary exploration of Exxon Mobil.

I must tip "my hat" to my Scottish friends who made a mockery of the EU leadership and expressed his desire to secede form the UK, I was thinking he is out of his mind now I start to agree with him.

What where those idiots thinking that Russia will let all of Europe be less dependent on Russian NG?

The whole war in Syria is about NG to be transported by land form the Persian Gulf to Mediterranean Sea and from there to Europe to avoid passage trough the straits of Hormuz.

Last time the fed started raising rates in August 2004. Nationally home prices per Zillow are already where they were around October 2004.

Many markets are now above the old highs but much of the country is still far below the peak and has much upside at anywhere near these rates for mortgages combined with rents rising at a fast clip. I fear a 50% move up nationally in coming years if this keeps up as they let a highly leveraged J6P back into the game at the wrong time. I take it Fisher nor Yelling are the second coming of Volker?
