Greg,

I trade on the technical behavior of MU. What is happening now is strictly bad news for commodity products where the asians will be producing at lower costs b/c of their currency problems, not b/c of their ability to make products less expensive. This will catch up with them b/c their lower currency will prevent them from from funding R+D. They are pretty much finished.

Memory products are changing to the SDRAM with higher density and much higher speeds. MU will be there as the key supplier. The market always prices the stock on future earnings not current or past.

I would not hold the out of money PUTs into the earnings date b/c IMO the risk is better than 50% that they will be worthless. As far as MUMEs you have 3 1/4 value with a 1 1/4 premium. Why gamble the premium on an oversold stock. IMO MU might be close to 24 1/2 sometime before 12/16. I sold my MUMEs expecting a bounce here... but tomorrow might be another blood bath given the asian markets tonight and the further drop in currency.

As far as buyout rumors, I wouldn't hold a stock b/c of buyout rumors, if it doesn't materialize the stock will drop before you can get out.
Take the profit now while the rumor is built into the price...anther premium you can benefit from. <g>

Good Luck Trading
