Woman explains harrowing tale of what happened when roving mass mob of black teens attacked her in Louisville
Mar 26, 2014
therightscoop.com

The other night we reported how a mob of 200 teens went on a rampage in downtown Louisville, Kentucky last Saturday night, assaulting people and mob-robbing stores. There was surveillance footage from a store that was mob-robbed that showed the teens to be black – a detail left out in the reporting of the story.

One of the women attacked was reported to be in her car with her children in the backseat. She has come forward to explain what really happened and it’s a situation none of us would want to find ourselves in, especially with 5 children in the car:

WDRB – It was around 8 p.m. Saturday when Viola Loeffler says she and her family were attacked at the intersection at First and Liberty.

“Right before we got to the stoplight, we noticed about 50 to 100 teens coming to the middle of the street. It was a one-way street so we couldn’t go any further. All of a sudden, one of them throws a garbage can on our car,” said Loeffler.

Loeffler says after that, the situation quickly escalated.

Her boyfriend, Ron Carter, was in the driver’s seat and stopped the car to see what was going on.

They say when he got out, the teens moved in on him.

“All of a sudden, I’m getting attacked,” Carter told WDRB.

Meanwhile, Loeffler and her five children were still inside the car.

“At that point , I jump in the driver’s seat. I hear them throwing rocks at my car. The rocks were hitting the kids inside of the car,” said Loeffler.

“Survival mode, and I tried to analyze the situation as quick as possible and figure out the safest way to get everyone safe,” said Carter.

Loeffler says she couldn’t speed away because they were surrounded by the group of teens and she didn’t want to run them over.

That’s when she says one of them attacked her.

“The boy comes out of nowhere, punches me in my eye, knocks me out. I had blood coming from everywhere. I was just freaking out. It did hurt, really bad. It scared me,” Loeffler said.

She says the next moments were a blur but somehow, Loeffler, Carter and all five kids made their way to Bader’s Food Mart and were able to get to safety until police got there.

“All I kept thinking about was the kids,” she said.

Loeffler says her children, all under the age of 12, witnessed everything.

“One of my kids, she needs counseling. She’s been having nightmares these past few days, waking up shaking and crying. There needs to be better guidance for these kids around here. I’m very glad that we’re alive,” Loeffler told WDRB.

God bless Master-at-Arms 2nd Class Mark A. Mayo

.............................................................................................

Greater love hath no man....................

I have been following this.

Mark Mayo was a 24 year old Petty Officer 2nd Class (which is a NCO rank in the Navy).

The killer had a contractors pass onto the base for delivery. He drove that night onto the base with the cab only of his truck and was allowed on...though there was no appointment for him to pick-up or deliver.

He parked the truck, got around a second check point, and then boldly walked up the gang way onto the ship where he was confronted by a Petty Officer there on watch. This was a female who questioned him. He began struggling with her.

Mayo saw the struggle and immediately rushed to the aid of his crew mate. As he got there, the perp had just taken the gun from the woman and Petty Officer, 2nd Class Mark Mayo shoved the girl to the deck and took the bullets apparently intended for her.

I have been on base at Norfolk and all along the ship line there. it is a huge sprawling base and there could easily be two or three dozen large ships docked at any one time. From nuclear powered aircraft carriers to cruisers, destroyers, large Amphibious Assault ships, frigates, nuclear submarines, and support vessels.

The Mahen is a guided missile destroyer. An Arleigh Burke class AEGIS destroyer.

That watch did their duty, and this young man was a hero. God rest his soul, and may God bless his family, friends, and loved ones with comfort and peace..

Wells Fargo’s bank in New Mexico has taken down the American flag that was hanging inside the building for six years. It says “a few people” complained that the flag was “offensive.” When questioned as to why the flag was offensive, the bank refused to provide an answer.

UPDATE: KRQE-TV has updated their story and now reports the flag is flying once again inside the Wells Fargo location:

A U.S. flag that had been taken down at a New Mexico bank, is flying once again.

According to Wells Fargo officials, the flag that was hanging inside their Los Lunas branch had been taken down because it was displayed incorrectly.

After complaints from an employee, the flag has been put on a flagstaff and now hangs in the foyer of the bank.

South of San Francisco there is a small ag city called Morgan Hill.

On Cinqo de Mayo two years ago two boys went to school wearing shirts featuring an American flag —they were sent home by the principal.

Calif Supreme Court came back a month ago saying everything was OK —they could do that.

Wealthy du Pont heir gets probation for raping his 3-year-old daughter

Rich man who pled guilty to raping his young daughter gets probation
Hotair ^

March 31, 2014 by Allahpundit

Via David Freddoso, money can’t buy happiness and it can’t buy love but maybe it can buy you a light sentence after you molest your three-year-old.

All that’s missing is the word “affluenza.”

A Superior Court judge who sentenced a wealthy du Pont heir to probation for raping his 3-year-old daughter noted in her order that he “will not fare well” in prison and needed treatment instead of time behind bars, court records show.

Judge Jan Jurden’s sentencing order for Robert H. Richards IV suggested that she considered unique circumstances when deciding his punishment for fourth-degree rape. Her observation that prison life would adversely affect Richards was a rare and puzzling rationale, several criminal justice authorities in Delaware said. Some also said her view that treatment was a better idea than prison is a justification typically used when sentencing drug addicts, not child rapists…

“It’s an extremely rare circumstance that prison serves the inmate well,” said Delaware Public Defender Brendan J. O’Neill, whose office represents defendants who cannot afford a lawyer. “Prison is to punish, to segregate the offender from society, and the notion that prison serves people well hasn’t proven to be true in most circumstances.”…

Defense lawyer Michael W. Modica said he has argued that clients should be spared prison because of medical or mental issues, but judges routinely reject the suggestion. He said he recently persuaded a prosecutor not to recommend prison for a client who had cardiac bypass surgery while awaiting sentencing for a DUI, and the judge sentenced the man to home confinement.

“I’ve never heard of the judge saying in general that he is not going to do well,” Modica said. “Who thrives in jail?”

His ex-wife also accused him of abusing their infant son but prosecutors didn’t have enough evidence to make that charge stick.

They charged him instead with two counts of second-degree rape of a child over accusations made by his daughter, which would have meant two mandatory sentences of 10 years each. The D.A. later offered him a plea to one count of fourth-degree rape of a child which could mean up to 15 years in prison but which, inexplicably, carries no mandatory time. Sentencing guidelines for the crime suggest a sentence of up to two and a half years, although they allow for no jail time — and yes, you read that correctly. Richards took the plea, leaving his fate to the judge. Sentence: Eight years in prison — all suspended in favor of probation because, she said, prison would be a rough on the 6’4? healthy defendant.

All of which is to say, it sounds like there were three distinct failures here. The prosecutor, who may have had good intentions in wanting to spare Richards’s daughter the ordeal of a trial, offered him a plea bargain that was too lenient. The sentencing guidelines, for whatever strange reason, actually contemplated a sentence like that for a crime as horrendous as child rape. And the judge, rather than mandate protective custody for Richards in prison so that other inmates couldn’t exact “rough justice,” decided to let him off with a wrist slap instead.

All of this happened in 2009 and only recently came to light, by the way.

What this guy has been up to since then, and whether any of it gave him access to children, is anyone’s guess.

Here’s the kicker, just to make sure your day’s thoroughly ruined.
