People are learning that they no longer have to pretend to have cornbread for brains. People are becoming proud to declare they are free thinkers. For centuries people had to pretend to be gullible because their very life was at risk. Even now, people desiring public office of any kind must pretend to be religious. But society is making baby steps and once the tide turns we will have a wonderful society of secularism.

"Religious folks are impervious to facts or logic. And they seem incapable of unlearning the myths they believe in." Yes, it is bizarre. I posted earlier a list of 459 errors and absurdities in the bible. Now somebody like Grergoree will look at them and just shrug. He feels no need to have his beliefs cohere through reason. So he shrugs and shoves the facts aside...and goes right on believing in talking donkeys and walking snakes and a 6000 year old earth. Hate literature he calls it, but he holds it tight against his little chest!
