He tells a forum here that greater two-way yuan volatility will become the norm and that exchange rate flexibility will increase as the market is given a greater say in setting the currency's value. According to local media coverage of his comments to the China Development Forum, Yi, who is also director of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, didn't directly refer to the sharp yuan depreciation of recent weeks.
