Yup, if that is what it takes to get the changes that would result in the pigs paying something akin to the percentage working folks pay

I think if you make any exceptions whatsoever, you poison the concept and will never get it passed

If everybody is required to pay the same rate, you may be able to get enough support to get it adopted

There can be ways to deal with hardship, like earned income types of programs

But it would need to be marketed on the basis of everybody paying the same

..and I think if you included all income, including corporate, cap gains, dividends, everything, I think that rate might be single digit

We could do away with IRS, a lot of CPA's and tax lawyers, and not have scheming politicians playing us against each other

But the concept has to be pure..one rate for all
